Ladies and Gentlemen, yes, the cowboys (and girls) are back in town! The American Quarter Horse is the most popular horse in America with over 5 million registered worldwide.
The Quarter Horse’s history can be traced back to horses (and people) from England travelling from London’s docks and other ports to the New World to colonise the USA.
They are known as Quarter Horses as they have big hind quarters and are lightening swift over a quarter of a mile! Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the American Quarter Horse Team.

Lindsay Robinson and LJ Classic Luke. (Team Leader)
“L’oreal” as he is known at home (because he thinks he is worth it) is a Canadian bred American Quarter Horse shown successfully in Canada, Germany and the UK as well as taking part in low level Endurance GB events. This is L’Oreals second appearance at LNYDP, he loved it so much last year, he asked if he could come back again! (we swear he thought all the people were there to see HIM!)

Iced Tee (Fonz) ridden by Mary Larcom
Mary and “Fonz” had such a great time last year (he even decided right in front of the grand stand was the place to have a “tinkle”) that they have come back for a second year. Well known on the Western show circuit, Fonz is reining trained although is equally happy in English tack. Mary is a well known UKCC accredited coach based in Essex
